Tulsa Home & Garden Show set for March 10-13

at River Spirit Expo at Expo Square!

Oklahoma’s largest home and garden show

Tulsa, Okla. January 19, 2016 – Spring is in the air and it’s time to start creating your home improvement list.  Oklahoma’s largest home and garden products trade show is back and the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa’s signature show is sure to be a home run. With nearly 500 home improvement exhibitors offering ideas, expert advice and the latest product innovations for your home or garden, the Tulsa Home & Garden Show is the home improvement event of the year. Tulsa’s largest and longest-running home and garden show will kick off Thursday, March 10 through Sunday, March 13, at the River Spirit Expo at Expo Square.  Presented by the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa and sponsored by Arvest Bank, the Tulsa Home & Garden Show offers a one-stop shop for all things home or garden, showcasing hundreds of ideas and the latest trends, as well as fun features for the whole family.

This year’s show is the perfect place to get creative with your home improvement ideas, with over 170,000 square feet of exhibits for everything from the front door to the backyard.  Attendees can explore the latest products, get inspired by exhibits and speak first-hand to home and garden experts, all under one roof!  Plus, shoppers can take advantage of exhibitor deals and specials exclusive to the event. Everyone will be amazed by the imaginative landscaping displays including creative lighting designs and art structures.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Garden Showcase: Explore an expanded 14,000 square-foot garden display, created by 16 local landscaping companies.  This new exhibit will give the illusion that you stepped into a backyard retreat that will both inspire and amaze you.  The area will showcase the latest trends in outdoor design, such as water features, pergolas and landscaping material.  Anchoring the display will be the Tulsa Master Gardeners, with an educational and creative booth that will delight attendees of all ages.

Hands-On Creative Stage: The Show is bringing back one of its most popular features, the How-To-Stage, but with a twist. This year the stage will feature hands-on crafts that participants can take home with them. Some of the classes that will be taught include: painting, making picture frames from reclaimed wood, landscaping tips and much more. Visit our website for a full schedule.

Floral Sales:   Attendees can brighten up their homes and the lives of local children by purchasing bouquets and flowering plants, which will be sold on-site by Reasor’s.  The HBA has partnered with Reasor’s to sell the plants to raise money for the Community Food Bank’s Food For Kids Program. Reasor’s will generously donate 100 percent of the proceeds from stem sales to the cause.

“If you are planning a home improvement project, or simply looking for ideas and the latest products, you can’t afford to miss the Tulsa Home & Garden Show,” said Janet Holt, a volunteer from Chinowth & Cohen Realtors and Chair of the 2016 Tulsa Home & Garden Show. “In addition to all of the great exhibits that have become a Tulsa Tradition, we are proud to be partnering again with the News on 6 and Reasor’s to help raise money for the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma’s Food For Kids program. Whether it is in the home, garden or community, this year’s Show will help attendees find inspiration for home improvement.”

In addition to this fundraising effort, about $15,000 in plant material used to landscape Show entrances and features will be donated after the Show to Up With Trees Tulsa and the Tulsa Boys Home.

Show hours are Thursday, March 10: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, March 11: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, March 12: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, March 13: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Tickets are $10 for adults.  Children under 12 may attend for free when accompanied by a paid adult.
