At the turn of the last century, Charles Page founded Sand Springs as a haven for widows and children, and to fulfill his dream of establishing a planned industrial city. Today, the Children's Home still provides a safe home environment and the city is experiencing renewed growth with new businesses setting up shop, existing businesses expanding or relocating with city limits, and obsolete factory sites removed or repurposed to new uses. City leaders have been hard at work promoting Sand Springs as a 21st century model community.
Join the Southwest Chapter in welcoming Brad Bates, Sand Springs Planning Director/Assistant Community Development Director, and learn more about Sand Springs' growth potential.
Register today for the Southwest Chapter meeting on Wednesday, May 8. Thanks to the Southwest Chapter sponsors: Oklahoma Natural Gas, Presenting Sponsor, and BTC Broadband, Gold Sponsor.
