TULSA, Okla. — Residential growth across the Tulsa metro continues to concentrate in some of the region’s most sought-after communities, with areas such as Broken Arrow, Coweta, Bixby, Jenks, and Rogers County leading housing activity through the first four months of 2026.
According to housing start data compiled by the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa, the metro recorded 877 housing starts through April, as builders continue to invest in high-demand communities offering lifestyle amenities, accessibility, and long-term residential growth opportunities.
Broken Arrow currently leads the region with 167 housing starts year-to-date, followed by Tulsa with 117 and Coweta with 99. Additional activity remains strong throughout Bixby, Jenks, Owasso, and the surrounding areas in Rogers and Wagoner counties.
While overall housing starts have moderated compared to the unusually strong pace seen in early 2025, the market continues to show steady demand in established and emerging destination neighborhoods throughout northeast Oklahoma.
“The growth patterns we are seeing reflect continued demand for communities that offer a strong sense of place, quality development, and long-term value,” said Jeffrey Smith, CEO of the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa. “Buyers today are highly intentional about where they choose to live, and builders are continuing to respond to that demand across the metro.”
That trend will be highlighted during the 2026 Tulsa Parade of Homes, which showcases many of the communities helping shape the next phase of residential growth in the region.
