As many of you know Congress recently passed the CARES Act, which funds an initiative known as the Paycheck Protection Program.  Applications for businesses with fewer than 500 employees are currently being accepted. The PPP loan among other things can help you pay the salaries of your employees during this difficult time.  This loan can be forgiven if the employer meets the eligibility requirements. 
 
HBA member Stephen Haney of Securian Advisors Mid America, Inc. is hosting a webinar that will cover the CARES Act.  It will featuring Brian Humphries, head of SBA program and VP at City National Bank. Stephen, along with Caleb Caldwell, CPA at CCK, and Josiah Long of AFLAC, will also be available for questions.
