Awards

HBA members are home building professionals serving the Greater Tulsa area and communities throughout eastern Oklahoma. Dedicated to excellence in the housing industry, our members continually raise the standard for quality, integrity, and community impact.

Each year, the HBA of Greater Tulsa proudly recognizes outstanding members for their achievements, leadership, and service to both the Association and the community.

Established in 1989, the Spirit Award is one of the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa's highest honors. This award was created to recognize builders who make the best use of the HBA and exemplify the value of collaboration within our Association.

The Spirit Award symbolizes the vital relationship between contractors and subcontractors, highlighting the importance of using only qualified craftsmen and reputable suppliers when building a home. Each year, numerous companies submit their projects for consideration, which are reviewed by an independent accounting firm to determine which builder utilizes the highest percentage of HBA Associate members in their work.

Builders and Associates working together is the spirit that makes our Association strong. To celebrate this partnership, the Associate Council proudly sponsors the Spirit Award competition. This award recognizes and honors the builder who best exemplifies the “spirit of doing business with members” by actively supporting and engaging HBA Associate members.
